On the surface, Fleur Marceaux has it all. If only the facade matched reality. With one year left at the International School in London, Fleur’s struggling to graduate, her love life is a mess, and she can’t stop thinking about Max, her ex-boyfriend’s best friend. But all that pales compared to the blackmailer determined to destroy her.

There’s a social hierarchy at the International School and Max Tucker is outside the velvet ropes. After watching Fleur break his friend’s heart, Max knows to stay away from trouble, despite the crush he’s had on her since freshman year. But when they’re partnered on a project, Max learns there’s more to Fleur than meets the eye, and she just might be worth the wild ride.

The more time they spend together, the further Max falls. And when a kiss awakens a passion Fleur never imagined, she’s unable to resist Max, who she had thought was all wrong for her but might be the only thing that’s right. But will he stand by her when her secrets are revealed?

Tina's Thoughts... A review for you

This is the perfect ending. Absolutely perfect. Chanel Cleeton gives her fans what they want in this last installment to the International School series and I am grateful to have read such a fabulous New Adult series.

FRENCH KISSED is all about Fleur. The moment I found out the last book in the International School trilogy was about Fleur, I was so excited. She is one of the best characters in this entire series. In this story, Fleur finds her happily ever after in the most unlikely of places.

Fleur is at the end of her school career hoping against the odds that she will be able to graduate. When she is paired with Max for a final school project that has the ability to help her graduate or make her a fifth year senior, two very strong headed people must learn to put aside their differences and work together to accomplish their primary goal: to graduate. There is so much emotion and character development. When we met Max is LONDON FALLING, he is an angry and judgemental man. He thinks very little of Fleur and his actions speak volumes of his dislike. When they are forced to work together, they are mature enough to put aside their differences to achieve their end goal. What was never expected was that despite their seeming loathing towards each other, they are perfect together.

Chanel Cleeton writes some pretty awesome characters and Fleur is probably my favorite, especially after this book. She evolved into such an incredible woman throughout the series. Her transformation was so well written and emotional. The chaos she has lived through and the brokenness in her life creates a tragic character that you want to see overcome the odds and flourish. She radiates beauty and authority. Her loyalty and friendship is something to be coveted. Throughout the entire International School  series, we learn so much about this woman and what has happened in her life. Her growth is incredible. The emotion from her life and experiences draws the reader in and creates a connection. I wanted her to win, to see her overcome her raw emotional past and learn to live life and love deeply again. Her strength was awe inspiring. Her healing and determination to embrace life and move on was one of the best character developments I have read. Fleur’s process of healing and transformation has been happening throughout the entire series but we finally get to see her stripped down of so much and every emotion is bare and raw. I loved her story and am grateful to have read about her life and ultimately new beginning.

Max is the perfect opposite and counterpart to Fleur. He is the smart, drama free American, determined to graduate at the top of his class so that he can pursue his dreams and prove his family wrong. He is rough around the edges with such an appealing sexy sweetheart quality. His character is so well written that you cannot help but fall a a little in love with him. He is stubborn and opinionated. When we get a glimpse into his mind, we see a man who has been in love for so long that his loathing is deep. He wants what he believes he could never have and this sadness tinges their every interaction. When he sees hope and a chance, Max becomes an incredibly wonderful book boyfriend.

When you put two such incredible characters together, all the white noise falls away and a beautiful story unfolds. Fleur and Max are the perfect fit, which is shocking considering their loathing and seemingly  incompatibility. Their hate stems from such a deep attraction that when the hate is stripped away, you have the beginnings of a beautiful love story. Their chemistry is palpable. Their lust is on fire. These two challenge each other, bringing very different strengths to the table. It is an incredible partnership of give and take, which both characters are so much better for. I loved watching them fall in deep love. Seeing how they connected, how love woke up something real and lasting. Their love affair is one of my favorites this year.

Chanel Cleeton is an incredible author who has the ability to take something so simple and give it depth beyond compare. She is an author that can evoke so much emotion from her words and as the reader, you cannot help but experience each emotion as they come along. I am sad that this series has come to an end and that I cannot read it again for the first time. This book was the perfect conclusion. We see glimpses of all our favorite characters from I SEE LONDON and LONDON FALLING. This story is the best possible ending to the trilogy and the epilogue is absolutely perfect! Don’t miss this series, especially FRENCH KISSED. It will steal your heart and make you fall in love

about the author

ChanelCleetonOriginally a Florida girl, CHANEL CLEETON moved to London where she received a bachelor’s degree from Richmond, The American International University in London and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Chanel fell in love with London and planned to stay there forever, until fate intervened on a Caribbean cruise and a fighter pilot with smooth dance moves swept her off her feet. Now, a happily ever after later, Chanel is living her next adventure in Asia.

Law school made Chanel realize she’d rather spend her days writing sexy stories than in a courtroom, and she hasn’t looked back since. An avid reader and hopeless romantic, she’s happiest curled up with a book. She has a weakness for handbags, her three pups, and her fighter pilot husband.

She is the author of I SEE LONDON and LONDON FALLING, published by Harlequin HQN, the upcoming FRENCH KISSED, and FLIRTING WITH SCANDAL, the first book in a new three-book series to be released by Penguin/Berkley in 2015.
