I am convinced that Molly Lee can do no wrong. She hooked me from her debut novel, the first in the Edge of Love series, and it just keeps getting better and better. Depths of Salvation is a deep and moving story, a tale that takes the reader on a dangerous adventure through history, politics, and love. Lee has a brilliant grasp of how to communicate such deep emotion, while taking the reader someplace they have never been. This story draws us deep into the ocean, where danger and adventure are a single breath from each other.
Lee masters at writing romantic adventure. Everything a romance reader would want is found between the covers of this book. There is danger from so many different angles, adrenaline pumping through the story, and romance you will swoon over. The character depth is profound and I loved seeing the development of everyone we meet in this book. Connell and Sadie are two peas in a pod. These two thrive off the ocean, feeling more comfortable in their skin when they are slicing through the depths. Each of Lee’s stories is brimming with passion for something other than the love story and that is what makes these books stand out. When you read Depths of Salvation, this story makes you fall in love with the water, a world that this landlocked girl longs to explore. The situations and moments of harsh reality in the story only add to the emotion of what is happening. Sadie is a fierce woman, one readers can admire. Connell is a match made for her and together, these two can do anything.
