Tina’s Thoughts…

It goes without saying that we are die hard fans of Jay Crownover’s Marked Men series. It started off with Rule, got better with Jet and Rome, and just keeps going with Nash. This book is a tsunami of emotions. I did not stop reading it once I started, I had to finish the whole book to make sure everyone was good in the end. It drags you around (in the best way possible) and leaves you raw, wanting more and feeling deeply. Nash’s story picks right up where Rome’s ended with Phil in the hospital. It was so sad watching Phil struggle with cancer throughout this book. He is the patriarch of the sewn together family that is the foundation of the Marked Men series. Nash struggles to come to terms with Phil’s diagnosis and the final revelation of truth of his father, as well as his mixed emotions in regards to Saint Ford.

Saint broke my heart. She is a successful woman who is tied to so much pain and heartache in her past. It was so sad and at times frustrating to see her process her life and relationship with Nash. Her preconceived notions of self-worth are challenged, torn down and truth begins to take root in her life. It was such a painful thing to witness but so wonderful to see the end result, a strong and beautiful woman who stands tall in every aspect of her life. I loved the spark between Nash and Saint. It is sexy as all get up and so confusing sometimes. Poor Nash. Watching him try to make sense of Saint while dealing with Phil’s cancer and managing the tattoo shop made me feel like my head was spinning for him. Yet some of the love greatest stories are ones full of passion, confusion, loss and second chances, as Jay so wonderfully writes.

Fans of Rule, Jet and Rome will have more to look forward to! You will see the whole gang and watch as their lives continue to progress while new friends are added to the mix. This series keeps getting better and better. I cannot wait for Rowdy’s story and seeing what happens with the gang. Make sure to check this book out! And if you haven’t read the Marked Men series, then you are definitely missing out. Add it to your book list and get ready for an incredibly sexy and heartfelt adventure!
