Slap my face and call me a donkey… This is the PERFECT ending to a smart, sexy, and hilarious series from Penny Reid. The Hypothesis series takes everything I have come to love from Penny’s writing and stuffed it into a fun New Adult package that will stick with you long after the last word has been read. CAPTURE is the conclusion to Kaitlyn and Martin’s story. Their relationship is full of ups and downs, miscommunications, and heartache, but the question it comes down to is whether or not these two can be together or will their emotions cause them to combust?
After the ever loving cliffhanger from HEAT, I was sure that my poor heart was only hanging on by a thread. These two incredible characters are so full of passion (in very different ways) and personality that I could see any number of possible outcomes in this last installment. CAPTURE is the perfect blend of New Adult into Adult Romance. These two have grown into more. They are learning to establish who they are and what they want within the past two novellas- which created an atmosphere for them to grow and determine their future. Their individual convictions are strong and at times contradictory, yet they learn to be true to who they are, both in the good and the bad.
The emotion and passion that is written on the pages of this novella will take your heart in a vice grip. There is so much happening in the heart of our two characters that there seems to be no possible way for these two to come out unscathed. Martin has taught Kaitlyn about passion and the fire in her has been ignited. She has begun to heal from their break-up months ago but there is still a longing for the things she has discovered in herself as a result of their time together.
This novella had me yelling at the Penny in my head telling her “Don’t you dare,” continually wondering what would happen and where she would take the story. There is uncertainty, but I felt conviction as to what should happen, because the reader is always right… Right? But once again, Penny shows me that she knows more than I do and I was whisked away on a beautifully torturous ride that was filled with emotion, heartache, and satisfaction. This ending is THE best possible ending. It wasn’t always what I thought would happen but Penny gave me what I wanted in a way that I never saw coming.
CAPTURE is full of highs and lows that left me all over the place emotionally (the best books always do) and I am so happy to have read this series! I cannot wait to read it all again together and see the small things I missed before! I loved Martin and Kailtyn’s story in the deepest part of me. I laughed, I cried, I yelled obscenities at Penny, and above all I fell in love with their journey. Don’t miss this one people! Penny Reid is a genius and this beautiful story is no exception of that genius!

SEX! It all started with sex, between my parents. Personally I don’t like thinking about it, but whatever works for you is a-ok with me. No judgment. The sex happened in California and much of my life also occurred in that state until I moved from the land of nuts (almonds), wine, silicon… boobs, and heavy traffic to the southeast US. Like most writers I like to write, but let’s get back to sex. Eventually I married and gave birth to 2 small people-children (boy-6, girl-4 as of this writing).
By day I’m a biomedical researcher with focus on rare diseases. By night I’m a knitter, sewer, lino block carver, fabric printer, soap maker, and general crafter. By the wee hours of the morning or when I’m intoxicated I love to listen to the voices in my head and let them tell me stories. I hope you enjoy their stories.
