Kandi Steiner
Genre: New Adult Serial
Release Date: Aug 25, 2015
Drama. Lies. Sex.
Welcome to Palm South University.
The weather isn’t the only thing heating up in South Florida. At a school where fraternities and sororities don’t exactly play by the rules, relationships are bound to be tested. Parties and sex are definitely key ingredients in the Palm South recipe, but what happens when family issues, secret lives, and unrequited love get tossed in the mix?
Follow Cassie, Bear, Jess, Skyler, Erin, Ashlei, and Adam as they tackle college at a small, private beach town university. Written in television drama form, each episode of this serial will pull you deeper and deeper into the world of PSU.
Where the sun is hot and the clothes are scarce, anything can happen.

Things are definitely starting to get a little bit crazy up in PSU. Episode 2 picks up with the beginning of the school year and this time around we get to see a bit more of Jess, Skyler, and Bear. I already knew I had a soft spot for Skyler from BLACK NUMBER FOUR, and it was kind of weird to head back in time to see who she was before her own book. I liked seeing how each different chapter and character was so unique to who they are.
Jess is full of drama and I am very excited to see where things go from here. It will be interesting to see if she takes things too far or if she will finally find a little bit of love in the chaos that is college. Bear is a man walking with the weight of the world on his shoulders and it is interesting to see how he copes. You feel his frustration with the world he is tied to by blood and the one has chosen in college. He is a mature man but also a college boy. I loved that dichotomy and I am anxious to see what happens when it all becomes too much. It was weird reading about Skyler in this story, knowing what happens to her in the future. It was almost like the prequel to her journey of self-discovery. She is learning to balance so much and embrace who she is, with or without the support of those around her. It was interesting to see the young woman who is learning her limitations in the poker world and the care free girl in the sorority.
This story is heating up to be something you will not want to miss. It is like reading the TV show and seeing things come to life on the pages of each episode. I love how there are multiple story lines and how they continue to grow and intersect. I have a feeling this first season has some surprises in store. Tuesdays never held so much appeal! Cannot wait to see what happens in episode 3 and what drama unfolds!
“Fuck,” she curses as I slam her back against my bedroom door. “Easy, Bear.”
I suck and bite down her neck and toss her onto my bed with ease, pulling my shirt up and over my head at the same time. “I’m not doing easy tonight, babe. You either get me hard and rough or you don’t get me at all. Your choice.”
Kandi Steiner is a Creative Writing and Advertising/Public Relations graduate from the University of Central Florida living in Tampa with her husband. Kandi works full time as a social media specialist, but also works part time as a Zumba fitness instructor and blackjack dealer.
Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).
When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.
