Grasping Air was a surprise that I truly enjoyed! Blind Landing, the first in the Flipped series, was such a fun Olympic story and we have our first glimpse of the tumultuous couple that is Peyton and Jared, important secondary charters from the first book. The tension and obvious attraction between these two made me curious and I was so excited to have their story come to life in this book! 

When I started reading this book I was curious about what would happen. Peyton and Jared are two very strong headed and vibrant characters. This book almost doesn’t seem to be able to contain them. They are constantly at each others throats. Grasping Air displays a couple that loves each other almost as much as they can’t stand each other. Emotions run high in this book. There is constant bickering, sexual tension, and seeming absolute loathing. But when that beautiful, pivotal moment happens, nothing seems more right. Everything about the relationship between Peyton and Jared is on a teetering line: it could go beautifully or so very wrong. Their chemistry is perfect and their love story unique. The ending and happily ever after for these two is so well deserved.

We see another side of the Olympic and professional gymnast world in this story. The Victory Tour is happening and another gymnast is needed, hence the reason that Peyton returns to the circuit. The readers gets a glimpse into the post Olympic high and a bit of the more monotonous fun that these gymnasts are having. They are traveling around the US sharing their skills and living in very close quarters. This type of setting is the perfect setting for drama, the sky is the limit! 

I cannot wait for more in the Flipped Series. There are so many different secondary characters we have met that all deserve so much time in the spotlight. I loved getting to understand Peyton and Jared better, to get to see their love story happen. This book went in a completely different direction that I would have ever expected, but I loved it so much!
