Molly Lee has skyrocketed to be one of my favorite authors and one of the great finds of 2016, wowing me from her debut novel and keeping that momentum running through high adrenaline stories full of romance and emotion that wakes the adventurous heart in us all. Edge of Bliss is taking us back to the beginning, giving readers a glimpse into Blake and Dash’s happily ever after. I do love a good post HEA book. I love to see what happens after that pivotal moment in the story, the moment when it all falls into place. I loved seeing the ups and downs these two have in their relationship, one that seems as calm as the the moments before a storm with unpredictability and passion.
Blake is a beautiful character. She has grown so much and it is awesome to see how she is healing throughout this story. I love that she is someone who had been broken by her past, but chose to move on and find hope in the future, specifically a future with Dash, the perfect match for her, sitting in the passenger seat chasing storms. Blake’s personality is developed well and her struggle is understandable and relatable in so many ways. I loved watching her work through past insecurities and come out on the other side stronger and wiser. Dash is the perfect counterpart to Blake. His devotion and passion gives her something to focus on when things seem hard. He supports her and loves her endlessly. While he seems perfect, he has his own flaws too, ones that cause friction between these two.
The stakes are higher and the passion is hotter. The storms seem bigger and more dangerous. The amount of danger and adrenaline is a driving force in this story and it is blended so well with the romance and the team. Paul, John, Dash, and Blake are an incredible team and I enjoyed watching them work together to chase storms. Their friendships are true and the way they protect each other is heartfelt. They are their own family and watching them work together is very satisfying!
Everything about this series has been a win for me. Molly is a wonderful storyteller and this book is no different. I loved getting to see the next stage of Dash and Blake’s happily ever after, chasing storms and falling deeper in love!
