Worth the Wait
Kingston Ale House #4
AJ Pine
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publication Date: January 16, 2017
I like to think of myself as a man of pleasure…
I enjoy a good pint of ale, being in the arms of a beautiful woman, and living by my own rules. The only thing I try to avoid? Commitment. And I’ve got a three-year success rate to prove it.
I wasn’t planning on Grace—the beautiful, funny, totally off-limits massage therapist who keeps popping up in my life. She’s on a six-month mission to rid her life of toxins. No alcohol. No red meat. And, yeah, no men. I’m talking full-on man cleanse.
I know I should walk away, but I can’t…and the only way to keep her in my life is to live by her rules. I’ll need to prove to a woman who’s lost all trust in men that I’m worthy of her love. And do it all without so much as a single kiss.
The only problem? If I win, I’ll lose the one thing I swore I’d never give up. My heart.
Each book in the Kingston Ale House series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.
Pine has never been one to disappoint and she has ended her Kingston Ale Series on a high note. I was not sure which book would take the cake of this series, since I love them all so much, but this one wins! Everything about this story is quirky, fun, sexy, and hilarious. There are moments of passion and moments of hurt and confusion. You feel it all between the covers of this book!
Worth the Wait is a refreshing contemporary romance story. Grace is a brilliant heroine. Any woman can relate to her and her frustrations. She is a woman that is determined to find herself and hopefully find love along the way. This character is inspiring. Her internal ramblings are humorous and her determination is admirable. I loved how I was able to cheer her on and be excited for what was hopefully coming in the future. Watching her attempt to find her place in life and love was endearing!
We all know a leading lady needs the perfect man and Jeremy is just that. These two have chemistry off the charts. Their connection is something you can literally feel. I love how fate is trying to weave them together, giving them chances to meet and get to know each other. These two click. They both have things to work on in their lives and their budding friendship and attraction gives them safe place to find who they are.
It was fantastic to see the Kingston gang back at it again. Jeremy is an important part of their crew and they flow in and out of the story. They adopt Grace into the fold and the community creates a fabulous backdrop to what is happening. Everything about this book is a win. The writing is top notch; the storyline flows very well; the characters are flawed and relatable, and you lose yourself in a story of healing, finding who you are, and second chances. Pine has a winner here and I cannot wait to see what she has in store for the future. As much as I will miss the gang, I know that they are waiting for me whenever I want to come back again!
