I have been (impatiently) waiting for the next installment of the Texas Mutinty Series. I don’t even really know to process everything this book made me feel. This is not your typical romance. It’s not cookie cutter. It’s raw, real, brutal and so honest it makes your skin tingle. This book is about marriage. The good, bad and the ugly. Carter brought this story to paper with courage. I love what she did with Santos and Mariana. Their relationship isn’t simple. It’s not cut and dry. It’s complex with so many different aspects to it that there is no simple way to review this book without spoilers. The bottom line for this short review is read this book. Read it and really pay attention because Carter drops some hella knowledge in this book. She wrote GOALIE with so much emotion and dug so deep into what actually makes and breaks a relationship. Read GOALIE and when you’re finished, sit with what you feel. Because, trust and believe, it will make you feel and it will make you think. Well done Carter. I give you mad props on this one, girl. *FISTBUMP*
