(book) #Review: UP TO YOU (Love with Altitude #4) by Daisy Prescott

I am a big fan of Daisy Prescott, both as an author and as a person. Up To You is a fantastic addition to the Love With Altitude series, and yet another reason this girl wants to move to Colorado. All stories are based on some truth, right?! Don’t miss this awesome new release, a story filled with humor, misconception, betrayal, and a group of friends that make life the best it can be!

Up To You
Love with Altitude #4
Daisy Prescott
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publication Date: June 10, 2018

I’m the last single woman among my friends. Don’t feel sorry for me. I’m fine with flying solo, especially with ski season right around the corner. You won’t hear me complaining. Until my mother decides I need a date for my cousin’s wedding … and chooses the worst man in the world for me.

Landon Roberts is the human equivalent of a parka with every ski pass he’s ever purchased hanging off of his zipper. Apparently my mother is the last person in Colorado to know about Landon’s reputation.

To make things worse, his super hot brother Aiden’s back in town. Still gorgeous and still not remotely interested in me.

I can survive this wedding disaster as long as I pretend my date is someone else.

***
As one of the stars of Aspen’s rugby club, I don’t need help meeting women. Tell that to my mother. She’s picked out my date for the biggest wedding of the year.

Mae London is the local girl who broke every heart in the valley before she left for California. Now she’s back and hotter than ever. Too bad she hates me.

Enlisting the help of my brother, I’m going to become the ideal man, and charm Mae right out of her bad opinion of me.

This wedding date will be perfect as long as I pretend to be someone else.

Up to You is a standalone romantic comedy set at high altitude.

I want to live in Daisy Prescott’s version of Colorado. Jumping back into the Love With Altitude series was the perfect way to kick off summer. As with the entire series, we see plenty of the old crew, both the girl pack and the rugby team, something I appreciate so much! Mae is surrounded by her girls and their love and friendship is exactly the kinds of female relationships I want to read about and see in real life. Up To You features Mae, Aiden, and Landon. Wait.. Three people?! I know. This is a type of love triangle story. I will admit that I HATE love triangles. ha. But this is not what you think, so from me to you, try it out.

The romance in this story is a slow burn that is both believable and all consuming. I loved that Mae is true to herself throughout the entire book. She is one of the most relatable female characters I have read in a while. She is the lone single female in her circle of friends and, as one single lady to another, I laughed and appreciated both her humor and experiences. Aiden and Landon are night and day from each other. Seeing different chapters in each POV allows the reader to piece together the emotions and logic of all the players in this story. From the miscommunications, to the laugh out loud misconceptions, I loved every minute. Prescott’s world is one filled with friends, family, love, and laughter. She gives us “real” people that are relatable, both flawed and unique in their personalities and stories. I am hoping for a LOT more to come from the Love With Altitude series. And if that is not in the cards, you can bet I will be re-reading the books many times over.
