From the author of the New York Times bestselling Bad Boys novels comes another dark, sexy story…

Is she brave enough to give her heart to a man she only thought she knew?

He was the most charismatic man I’d ever met. Strong, tough, brave. Bold as hell. Something told me Tag Barton could have anything—anyone—he wanted…and he wanted me. It didn’t matter that he was wrong for me in practically every way possible. It didn’t matter that my father would hate it.

I couldn’t resist him. Even if I’d known who he really was and what he was really capable of.

When he suggested we pretend to be engaged, I thought he was the answer to all my problems. He wasn’t. And, in his wake, he left nothing but scorched earth and me, just another casualty of my father’s war.

Can I believe him now when he tells me he loves me?  Or is he nothing more than a beautiful, breathtaking lie?

tina thoughts a review for youLeighton’s Tall, Dark, and Dangerous series is provocative and sensual. Brave Enough encompasses everything I have come to expect from this series, pouring heart, soul, and heartache into the third book of the series. This story was well written, well-paced, and sure to tug on your heartstrings. It creates a world that allows the characters to escape, but the reality of lies is that there is no real escape from the hurt and deception of those your trusted.

When I began to read this book, I had no idea what to expect. My only expectation was a well-developed story that was sure to give me goose bumps. Leighton most certainly delivered on that front. Poor Weatherly is continually used as a pawn in other’s vicious games, leaving her tattered and bruised. This woman was an interesting character. I could not help but admire her tenacity and bravery, allowing herself to feel and fall hard. She is a woman who knows what she wants, expectations be damned. Watching her find confidence in more than just her body and allure was something that tugged at my heartstrings. She learns to find happiness and love in the most unexpected places.

Tag, the dark and ruggedly handsome man at the vineyard, was nothing like I expected but also exactly what I expected. His raw sensual power was enough to ensnare Weatherly and their love affair is one wrought with passion and lust. It grows into something more and these two fall down a slippery slope of feelings quickly. I loved Tags devotion to the life he built and his mother. She is the sweetest and watching him sacrifice and care for her is beautiful. His character is complex and learning those complexities throws the story into a tail spin.

This book kept me guessing. After each plot twist and earth shattering revelation, well, I was surprised Weatherly was left standing in the wreckage. Leighton does an incredible job of sharing this story in such a way that you are enraptured in what is happening, allowing her to sneak in a major plot twist. Sure you know the shoe will drop but the level as to which it drops was not what I expected. I reveled in the emotion and could not help but be swept away with the story. Fans of this series will love this book! We even get a glimpse of Rogan and Katie too. Brave Enough is a story that will trap your heart and leave you wondering what the tattered remains will look like in the end.
