UFC Middleweight fighter, Ryley Jameson, swore it would never happen again. He was done with his ex, and over the pain she’d inflicted when she left him. At least, that’s what he tells people. Maybe if he says it enough, he’ll begin to believe it himself.

Regretting her decision to let Ryley go, Ashleigh Warren comes back into town and confronts him. Holding only one secret back, she puts the rest on the line and asks for a second chance. Too bad he’s not going to let her off easy.

Camden Jameson loves his twin brother, but his jealousy runs deep. They may be identical in looks, but that’s where the similarities end. When Ashleigh comes back into Ryley’s life, Camden has the perfect opportunity for revenge. Two birds, one stone.

A journey to the Dark Side affects them all, but only one feels the true sting of revenge.

Tina's Thoughts... A review for you

When I read the beginning of Ryley and Ashleigh’s story in A Fighter’s Desire, I knew without a doubt we would be in for a sexy and tumultuous ride when their story finally came about. And how right that was! LP Dover delivers just what the reader needs and wants in this book. It is packed full of everything we have come to expect from the Gloves Off series. It is full of passion, lust, head over heels love, drama, fight, and community. In my mind without a doubt, Ryley and Ashleigh were meant to be but knowing there was a whole book made me wonder what struggles and challenges they would face. Some things I expected whereas others took my from left field and surprised me! I love when that happens.

In Ryley’s Revenge, we see a stronger and more determined Ashleigh. She has made up her mind and decides to get her man, no matter what the cost. She is tired of settling and will either be with Ryley or alone to face the future. Her character becomes so much stronger within this book, allowing the reader to see a female character that fights for what she wants and is willing to risk it all for the man she loves. I really loved that fact about her.

Since their original separation and even more so since their encounter in Vegas, Ryley’s has been attempting to drown his sorrow and numb the pain of her rejection. His carefree nature is waning and has been replace with a heartbroken man who has little to no focus on what he wants outside of his training in the ring. His attitude is a hurdle to be crossed and trust needs to be rebuilt between them. When Ashleigh comes back into his life, his pain is evident and his reluctance could very well cause them to go their separate ways forever.

Then enters Camden, Ryley’s douche of a brother, always intent on interfering. When he sets his sight on revenge and malicious intent, things go from tense to chaotic. He crosses the line at every turn determined to keep them apart, never truly understanding that he is actually burning bridges as he goes. I never liked Camden from the previous books but this one made me want to sucker punch him in the throat. He is hateful and lashes out to hurt everyone around him.The drama he causes is no short of chaos and his choices affect the world and people around him.

The passion and love story is nothing short of explosive. There is so much love, hurt, anger, and lust that it combusts when Ryley and Ashliegh are together. You see a glimpse of this in connection A Fighter’s Desire but this book takes their passion to a  new level. One of my favorite parts about this series is how all the characters from each book are all so intertwined. It is a community based life and that is so well portrayed. There is a family in the fighting world and the gym, people that can be counted on and trusted. They stand by each other, loving and encouraging in their own way. They protect their rag tag family and will do what it takes to support each other. Yet when that trust is betrayed it cuts deeper than anything else could.

This book is filled with so many highs and lows that you cannot help but wonder what will happen. I loved all the elements and plot twists that LP weaves into Ryley and Ashleigh’s story! I am excited to see glimpses of them in the books to come and follow their love story from afar! So far, their tale is my favorite. Make sure to check out Ryley’s Revenge and the entire Gloves Off Series!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR-2

The magnetic feeling I always felt when he was near pulled me to him. Out of the corner of my eye, Gabriella watched on in amazement, but I couldn’t focus on anyone other than my fighter; the one I loved, but left because I was afraid. I slowly approached him, biting my lip to keep it from trembling. He lifted his weights, one arm at a time, his muscles bulging with each curl. Those arms used to hold me, but I was too stupid not to stay in their warmth and protection.

“Ryley,” I murmured softly.

Either he didn’t want to acknowledge me or he couldn’t hear. Even my own voice sounded foreign to my ears. Moving closer, I stood in front of him and took a deep breath. “Ryley,” I repeated. “Can we talk?”Setting the weights down, he lowered his head and balled his hands into tight fists. His knuckles were torn wide open and all I wanted to do was touch him. Without looking at me, he stood and towered over me, glancing around the room. He looked at everything, but me.

“Let’s go,” he demanded.

Before following him to the back, I looked at Gabriella who frowned and shook her head. This wasn’t going to be good. I felt like I was being led to slaughter by the way everyone watched me with trepidation in their eyes. All I wanted was for Ryley to look at me and listen to what I had to say. However, with each step I took it felt more and more like the end.

Once we got to the back, Ryley opened the door to an empty office and turned on the light. As soon as I walked in, he shut the door behind us and locked it. I swallowed hard as he stood there, head down, body coiled tighter than a snake’s. I wanted to go to him and wrap my arms around him, but I was frozen. I wanted to hear him call me angel like he used to when we’d make love.

“I went to your house this morning. Your brother wasn’t too happy with me. Did he tell you I came by?”

He stiffened and sighed. “No.”

“I thought as much,” I whispered. “I guess I can’t blame him.” Panic started to set in and I could feel the blood rushing to my head. I felt nauseated and lightheaded, but I swallowed it back as hard as I could. “I’m so sorry, Ryley. I never wanted to hurt you. But you have to know, there’s nothing going on between me and Colin.”

He scoffed and leaned against the wall, looking at my feet. “It didn’t look like that yesterday.”

“I know what it must’ve looked like and I know you don’t trust me after everything I did, but you have to believe me. All I want is a chance to prove it to you, to prove that—”

“To prove what?” he exploded, lifting his fiery gaze to mine for the first time. My breath instantly left my lungs and I faltered, tears welling in my eyes. “To prove that I can trust you? That you want to be with me? How the fuck do you expect me to do that?”

Shaking my head, I found the courage to move forward, tears falling down my cheeks. When I lifted my hands to his face, he turned his head, the connection gone. “No, that’s not what I was going to say. I was going to say that I love you. That I’ll do whatever it takes to prove it to you.”

For a second it seemed as if he was listening, but then he jerked his face out of my hold and moved away. “I think you’re missing the point. You see, I don’t want you back. I’m happy with the way things are.”

“Really?” I choked. “So you get to screw whoever you want and party it up? Is that what makes you happy?”

Smirking, he shrugged his shoulders. “That’s just the way my life is. You wouldn’t even want me back if you knew the things I’ve done since you left.”
